The HOT ROD Homecoming 65th Anniversary Show



It's HOT ROD magazine's 65th anniversary in 2013, and to celebrate, the staff hosted a once-in-a-lifetime car show: a collection of 300-plus cover and feature cars from the pages of the mag, dating all the way back to 1948. In this video you'll get details on many of the cars that were on display at the Fairplex in Pomona, California, March 23-24, 2013. You'll also hear insights from magazine staff members past and present, as well as visits with hot rodding legends such as TV Tommy Ivo and Roland Leong. Racing a Supercharged 2013 Ford Mustang GT at Run the Coast! HOT ROD Unl...



Associate Editor Jesse Kiser grabs the keys to Mickey Thompson Tire's SEMA car On this episode of HOT ROD Unlimited. It's a 2013 5.0L Mustang topped with an Edelbrock supercharger and it puts 575hp to the wheels. He headed down to the American Street Car Series event: Run to the Coast. This is the first event for of the season and features a speed-stop challenge, autocross, and 2.1-mile road coarse. See how Jesse finished at his very first event, and the first time this SEMA car has been raced.

1971 Plymouth 'Cuda Conquers Pikes Peak! - HOT ROD Unlimited Episode 16



On this episode of HOT ROD Unlimited, HOT ROD magazine heads to Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs for the 90th running of the world's most famous mountain race; the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb.
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), also known as The Race to the Clouds, is an annual automobile and motorcycle hillclimb to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado. The track measures 12.42 miles (19.99 km) over 156 turns, climbing 4,720 ft (1,440 m) from the start at Mile 7 on Pikes Peak Highway, to the finish at 14,110 ft (4,300 m), on grades averaging 7%.[1] It used to consist of both gravel and paved sections, however as of August 2011, the highway is fully paved and as a result all subsequent runnings will be on tarmac from start to finish.


We follow Jess Neal and Morgan Combes as they attempt to make it to the top of the treacherous 12.5 mile course in a 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda.

1970 Dodge Challenger Unleashed on Power Tour! - HOT ROD Unlimited Episode 11



On this episode of HOT ROD Unlimited, follow along with Scott Shanks and his '70 Dodge Challenger convertible as he participates in the Royal Purple Performance Driving Experience at the 2012 HOT ROD Power Tour. For 2012, 5,000 cars were involved in a trek through seven cities in seven days, starting in Detroit and ending in Arlington, Texas. There's a big party every night, and the Royal Purple Performance Driving Experience is part of that scene. It encompasses three action events that are open to all the cars: an autocross, a drag race, and a burnout contest. See if Scott's 6.1L Hemi-powered Challenger is up to the challenge.
